St Oswald’s update 23.09.23

Dear friends

We want to begin by thanking you all for your words of encouragement and support following our recent announcement about the Sisters’ decision to sell St Oswald’s. It has meant so much to us and has helped us to hold onto hope in the midst of so much uncertainty. For those who have signed up to these emails within the last couple of weeks, here’s a link to our latest newsletter – https://stoswalds.community/important-update-sept-2023/

At this stage we don’t have any further news regarding the sale, other than we believe things are moving towards the property being put on the market, but at this point we still don’t have any more details.

As we explained in our last email, we plan to continue taking bookings and so we are initially offering some dates of events and ‘open house’ periods between now and Easter.

Many of you have asked how you can support us and, alongside praying, making a booking is one of the best things you can do for now! It goes without saying that we will remain in contact and would let you know if there was any news which would affect your booking. All payments would be fully refunded in the event of a cancellation.

So…here are a few things we are planning to offer between now and Easter. Don’t forget that self-catering accommodation is also available, although does get booked up quickly! We’d love to see you!

Friday 26th – Sunday 28th January: Bread Weekend
Monday 29th January – Friday 2nd February: Winter Crafts
Monday 5th – Friday 9th February: Glass Fusing
Monday 19th – Sunday 25th February: Icon writing/painting retreat
Monday 18th – Friday 22nd March: Individually Guided Retreat
Wednesday 27th March – Monday 1st April: Holy Week & Easter

Details and prices of all events are on the website, including dates we are open for you to come and just ‘be’ https://stoswalds.community/whats-happening-2/

This comes with our love and gratitude for your partnership with us
Every blessing
