Dear Friends,
We want to begin by thanking you for the many words of kindness and encouragement you have shared with us since we shared our latest update. It means so much to us and we have felt very loved and supported. We are also thankful to know that we are held in your prayers.
We are aware that St Oswald’s holds a special place for so many people and that there is great sadness about not being able to visit again. To that end we want to let you know that we are holding an open afternoon from 3-5pm on Thursday 7th December for those who are near enough to be able to pop in. There’ll be tea and cake (as always!) and a chance to catch up and also to say goodbye. For those who’d like to, there’s the invitation to stay on for the Communion Service at 5pm.
If you’d like to come it’s vital that you RSVP by email. Please let us know if you plan to join us and whether this is for the afternoon, the service or both! We will endeavour to welcome as many people as possible, but as you know, St Oswald’s isn’t a huge venue and so sadly we may need to limit numbers…so please let us know as soon as possible if you hope to come.
Thank you once again for sharing this journey with us. We will keep you posted of our comings and goings, as well as some final reflections of our time here before we go!
