May update 2021

Dear Friends,

It’s over a month since we last wrote and life has been busy here!  We want to begin by saying a HUGE thank you for all the gifts we have received. Your generosity has enabled us to buy new bedlinen and table settings…we’re so grateful.

It’s been such a joy to open for self-catering guests and we are now more confident that we will be able to welcome catered guests from June 21st as planned.

St Oswald’s is a great place to come and ‘do your own thing’ and there are plenty of dates when the house is open In addition to this we are also offering a number of other exciting options…

Walking Week: 12-16th July (Now fully booked – waiting list available)

Bank Holiday Weekend: 27th-30th August

Come and join us for a chilled-out bank holiday weekend by the sea – what’s not to love!

Special 3-day rate of £180 per person.

We are offering a silent Individually Guided Retreat. Each guest will be assigned to a Spiritual Director who they can meet with once a day. £260 per person

Quiet Week: 4th-8th October

Join us for this quiet week where we can intentionally slow down and enjoy the stillness of this place. The house will be kept quiet for much of the time and Jackie will be leading some short devotions/reflections each day. £260 per person

Advent Retreat: 29th November-3rd December

The Advent Retreat is the perfect opportunity to prepare for the Advent and Christmas seasons. There will be periods of silence during this week, with a daily reflection and plenty of space to just be. £260 per person

Christmas Glass-fusing week: 6th-10th December

We are excited to welcome Michelle Gillam-Hull to St Oswald’s. There will be plenty of opportunity for ‘hands on’ experience and you’ll be able to take your creations home with you. £275 per person (a small additional charge has been added for materials).

Please see the website for more details about these events –

Don’t forget that we have a large 5 bedroomed cottage available for self-catering from the beginning of July – a great place for that long awaited catch-up with friends and family!

We hope and pray that over the next few months we will have the opportunity to welcome many of you to our lovely home. Come and enjoy beautiful scenery, a warm welcome and great food: a place of homecoming to God, self, others and creation.

Bless you and thank you for your ongoing love, prayers and support.
