Farewell from St Oswald’s

Dear Friends,

As Epiphany comes upon us we want to take this opportunity to wish you a Happy New Year and all the blessings of this Epiphany season. May the revelation of Christ be especially real to you this year as you journey as the wise men did to find Jesus.

This is our last letter from the St Oswald’s Community so we want to say a final thank you for all the love, support, prayers and good wishes that you have offered us over the last few months. We go from here with the hope and knowledge that God is with us wherever we go and in whatever we do. It is such a blessing to know how many people have met with God in a special way at St Oswald’s over the last three years.

Next week we will be busy loading vans and moving our belongings to various locations across the UK: you will appreciate that this is a significant task! Your prayers for this busy period are particularly appreciated: for safety and good weather! The residential community are all planning to stay with friends and family in the short term whilst working out the ‘what next’.

We conclude with a Community and Trustees’ weekend on Friday 19th to Sunday 21st January. This is our opportunity to reflect on all that has been, to give thanks for God’s blessings over the time we have been here and to say our final farewells to one another. We will leave the site during the week beginning the 22nd January.

Whilst this is our final email, we will try to post a few more photos on our Facebook page prior to us leaving.

Sending you our love and prayers, knowing that Emmanuel, God with us, will journey with us as we go.
